AO1 TERMS

 

Consider

Show knowledge and understanding of the topic area.

Define

Explain what is meant by a particular term.

Describe

Show knowledge of the topic area.

Examine

Present a detailed descriptive consideration of the topic area.

Explain

Show understanding of a topic in a coherent and intelligible way.

Outline / State

Offer a brief description (in summary form) of the topic area.


AO2 TERMS


 

Analyse / Critically analyse

Demonstrate understanding through a consideration of the different components of the topic area.

Assess / Critically assess

Present a considered appraisal of the topic area through a judgement of the strengths and limitations of the information presented.
