During the first three years a wide range of subjects is studied, ensuring a breadth and challenge. We take account of the calibre of students who join us and the variety of schools from which they come. We aim to build on work covered in Key Stage 2 and to prepare for GCSE courses. We do our best to minimise difficulties that may arise following the transfer from primary school and to help in the development of both personal interests and confidence. The subjects studied are:

From Year 7, students study two Modern Foreign Languages, from French, Spanish and German. In addition, in Years 8 and 9 each student will follow a taster course in Latin.
